Before you buy
The steel Cold Life Plunge described below does not appear on The Cold Life's current site, and we could not confirm it is still made. The company's vertical plunge today is the Ultimate Plunge, with an aerospace-grade aluminum shell and the Pro-Curve chiller.
- Capacity: 100 gallons. Dry weight 78 pounds; about 1,000 pounds filled, so check your deck or floor.
- Cold: the Pro-Curve chiller holds down to 37°F. A Cold + Hot version runs 37 to 104°F.
- Power: 110 to 120V, 450 W, 3.9 A on a standard GFCI outlet. If you need an extension cord, The Cold Life caps it at 25 feet.
- Rated indoor and outdoor (IPX5). The Cold Life says it fits users up to 6 feet 9 inches.
- Built to order in small runs. On October 29, 2026 the current run was scheduled to ship in February 2027. A 12-month warranty is included.
Who it suits: someone who wants to sit upright in a small footprint and doesn't mind waiting for a build slot. If you own the older steel model, ask The Cold Life for its manual and parts before you buy filters.
