Fit before features
Can you get in and out comfortably? Is the posture right for your body? We’ll document interior space, access, usable depth and the room needed around the equipment.
The work behind the recommendation
These are the standards for the Plunge Junkies we’re building. We’ll publish the method, the conditions and the limitations alongside our findings.
Can you get in and out comfortably? Is the posture right for your body? We’ll document interior space, access, usable depth and the room needed around the equipment.
A minimum temperature isn’t a performance test. We’ll record starting water temperature, air temperature, water volume, cover use and time to cool, so the result means something.
Filter access, draining, cleaning, water treatment and cover handling all matter. We’ll separate a manufacturer’s maintenance instructions from what we observe in use.
We’ll look at noise where you stand, sit and spend time, with the distance and conditions included. A reading without context isn’t a comparison.
The tub is only part of the purchase. We’ll consider delivery, site preparation, electrical work, consumables, replacement parts and measured energy use where available.
We’ll examine warranty coverage, exclusions, replacement-part access and the route to getting help. Long-term durability needs long-term evidence. We won’t pretend a short trial proves it.
Manufacturer information: specifications, manuals and stated warranty terms. Useful source material, with the model and version identified.
Hands-on observations: what we experienced on a specific product, in stated conditions, over a stated period. We won’t turn one trial into a universal conclusion.
Long-term findings: what repeat use, maintenance records and follow-up can actually show. If we don’t have that evidence yet, we’ll say so.
The existing product library and article archive predate this testing program. Inclusion does not mean a product has passed our new evaluation, earned an endorsement or been selected for 2028. We’ll publish new findings as the work develops.
Plunge Junkies, Sauna Marketplace and SaunaShare are part of the SaunaShare family. That relationship informs our recommendation of Sauna Marketplace. It is not an independent ranking or a paid award.
Future reviews will disclose product loans, supplied samples and commercial relationships where relevant. Suppliers may help correct factual errors. They will not purchase a favorable verdict.
Use a plunge every day? Repair them? Build them? We’d like to hear what you think deserves a closer look.
