Penguin no longer sells this chiller-and-tub combo new. Its cold therapy line now lists the Cold Therapy Chiller, a barrel package, an outdoor 1/2 HP HE chiller and three complete Beyond Cold plunges: Journey (inflatable), Pursuit (acrylic) and Summit (all-in-one).

If you own one, the chiller is the part that matters. Penguin publishes separate manuals for the current and the discontinued Cold Therapy Chiller designs, so match the guide to your unit's label and hose connections. Penguin still sells Cold Therapy replacement filters (a 5-inch cartridge and an inline screen); confirm the fit for your unit.

• Keep the pump running continuously; Penguin advises against timers.
• Disconnect and drain the chiller completely before air temperatures reach freezing.
• Keep the chiller at or below the tub floor and close to the drain so the pump stays primed.
